Meet Wanda

A lifetime of service, now poured into every dish

Wanda Augustyniak is a retired U.S. Navy veteran and a first-generation American whose parents brought their Polish recipes with them when they came to the United States. What started as Sunday dinners with family has become a kitchen built on the same discipline, care, and attention to detail she carried through her years of service.

Every pierogi is hand-folded. Every loaf of sourdough is shaped by hand. Nothing here is rushed—because the recipes weren't either. They were passed down, tested, and perfected over generations, and Wanda makes each order as though it were going to her own family's table.

From the Galley of Service to the Family Table

Wanda Augustyniak spent her career in the U.S. Navy, where precision, discipline, and showing up for the people around you weren't optional—they were the job. When she retired, she brought that same standard home with her, into a kitchen that had been part of her family for generations.

Wanda is a first-generation American. Her parents carried their Polish recipes across an ocean, and those recipes became the backbone of every holiday, every Sunday dinner, every difficult week made a little easier by something warm on the table. She learned to make pierogi standing on a stool next to her mother long before she ever learned to salute.

Today, Wanda's Authentic Polish Kitchen is her way of keeping that heritage alive—one handmade order at a time.

What Guides the Kitchen

Family, Faith, and a Job Done Right

  • Family Recipes, Preserved Exactly

Every recipe in Wanda's kitchen has a name attached to it—a grandmother, an aunt, a Sunday tradition. She makes them the way they were taught to her, not a shortcut version.

  • Navy-Honed Discipline

Years of military service taught Wanda that details matter and follow-through isn't optional. That same care goes into every order, on time, every time.

  • Made with Quiet Faith

Faith and gratitude are part of how Wanda approaches her work and her table—present, but never the centerpiece. The food speaks for itself.

  • Old-World Technique, No Shortcuts

Sourdough that's naturally fermented. Dough that's hand-rolled. Fillings made from scratch. It takes longer—that's the point.

A Table for Everyone

Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian, Side by Side

Wanda's table has always made room for everyone in the family, including those who don't eat meat. Many of her dishes—pierogi, naleśniki, mizeria, and more—come in vegetarian preparations alongside their traditional counterparts, so no one is left out of the meal.

"Food was always how we took care of each other. I don't see why that should change just because it's now an order instead of a dinner invitation."
